St. Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia, a major industrial, scientific and cultural center of the country. It is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, the historical part of which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. St. Petersburg is not only a recognized tourist center, but also a rapidly developing metropolis, which is the largest transport hub in the north-west of Russia, which contributes to the development of the city’s economic ties and the growth of industrial potential.

Favorable location makes St. Petersburg an important transport and trade center of the world. Every day international road, air, railway and sea transportations are carried out through the city. This contributes to the development of the city’s economic ties and the growth of its industrial potential: industries such as energy, heavy engineering, the automotive industry, pharmaceuticals, as well as an information technology and telecommunications cluster are actively developing.

In recent years, large-scale investment projects have been implemented to develop the city’s infrastructure. A new international airport and the second stage of the Mariinsky Theater were put into operation. The construction of the Western High-Speed Diameter highway and the football stadium on Krestovsky Island has been completed.
