The International Exhibition of Products and Services for Pets, ZooIndustry 2026, is underway in St Petersburg. Its new-products gallery features innovative solutions ranging from programmable collars to pet food made with salmon and venison.

ZooIndustry 2026 covers every aspect of life for pets and their owners.

The ZooMenu company has expanded its cat and dog food range with the Karelika brand. This is a complete dry food made with Karelian salmon, as well as turkey, veal, lamb, and venison. According to Boris Dezhnev, CEO of ZooMenu, it is highly digestible food with ingredients ground to 80 microns, which pets enjoy very much. Last year, the company launched special diets for dogs and cats: GastroComfort, Hypoallergenic, Weight Control, and Renal.

“We focus on the wishes of pet owners, breeders, and kennel owners. We want our customers to receive a high-quality product at reasonable prices, so we use simple packaging in order not to inflate the cost,” says Boris Dezhnev.

However, food is not the only way to please a furry friend. This year, Collarlux presented 11 collections of exclusive premium collars for different dog breeds, featuring decorations and inlays. The collars are made from suede, buffalo leather, and antelope leather. Each product has an individual number and a certificate of conformity issued in the dog’s name.

“This year, we decided to offer our clients a collection of collars with an LED display and scrolling text,” says Collarlux director Igor Chubotin.

The message can be programmed through a mobile phone application. It can display anything—from the dog’s mood to the owner’s phone number in case of an emergency. The collar lights up and is clearly visible at night.

“It will help owners find their pets easily and quickly if they suddenly decide to go for a walk away from home,” Igor Chubotin adds.

Moszoovetsnab, one of the major manufacturers of veterinary medicines, tools, and equipment, presented its VetCare line this year, including a shampoo containing 5% chlorhexidine for the prevention and treatment of bacterial, fungal, mixed, and atopic skin conditions. The shampoo’s bactericidal effect remains on the pet’s skin for up to 24 hours. The line also includes ear and eye lotions with a gentle moisturising formula based on natural ingredients, as well as a range of medical veterinary instruments—from introducers and catheters to sample-collection kits and absorbent disposable pads.

The AleksAnn plant presented a new range of medicines for treating kidney and urinary tract disorders in cats and dogs: UroPro and NephroPro. The products are based on pharmaceutical extracts of cranberry and bearberry, have a neutral taste, and are well tolerated by animals.

According to Olga Davydenkova, a veterinarian and head of the promotion department at AleksAnn, clinical trials of the products were completed recently, with impressive results. The studies showed positive progress: inflammation was brought under control more quickly and effectively.

NephroPro is a new-generation veterinary phosphate binder—a drug that binds phosphorus from food in an animal’s intestines and removes it from the body. It is used in cats and dogs with hyperphosphataemia and to support kidney function in chronic kidney disease. The medication comes in suspension form and can be mixed with regular or therapeutic food, or administered using a special dosing syringe.

UroPro is a uroprotective product for the treatment and prevention of urolithiasis and cystitis. The solution is used both preventively and as part of comprehensive treatment for urinary stone disease, as well as to restore the bladder lining. Both medicines may be given to pregnant and lactating females, as well as puppies.

Furmacy, a research company that produces highly effective and safe medicines, impressed exhibition visitors with its innovative product, Topakve. The medication is intended to treat allergic dermatitis and itching in dogs.

“This is a new drug from the ‘tinib’ group—Janus kinase inhibitors. It is an alternative to oclacitinib, has a broad spectrum of action, and offers a higher concentration of the active ingredient with fewer side effects,” says Maria Ryabtseva, head of pharmacology at Furmacy.

The company has high hopes for the medicine: it is expected to improve the quality of life for pets with allergies and make care easier for their owners.

“Our goal is to make treatment affordable and safe,” Maria Ryabtseva added.

Manufacturers also presented new products for veterinary professionals. The new Apache wireless portable ultrasound scanner from GMG (Golden Medical Group) will become an indispensable assistant, according to the company’s Development Director Vladimir Loginov. The scanner connects to any mobile phone or tablet, is compact enough to fit in a pocket, and includes specialised veterinary settings.

“It is indispensable wherever speed and rapid examination are needed: emergency diagnostics, mobile veterinary care, and intensive care,” Vladimir Loginov explains.

Russian toy manufacturer GoSi brought a new selection of small delights for furry and feathered pets to the exhibition. Today, the company’s plant in Chekhov, near Moscow, produces around one thousand types of toys.

Among the new products are bakery-shaped toys: soft “loaves,” “doughnuts,” “croissants,” and “burgers.” They are made from special hypoallergenic materials to ensure safety. Some toys are equipped with pockets where owners can place small treats, making playtime even more engaging and enjoyable for pets. According to GoSi CEO Yana Bakutina, the company uses exclusively Russian-made fittings, materials, and fabrics in its products.
