More than just pet food: innovative veterinary medicines and limited-edition pet toys featuring Soyuzmultfilm characters presented at ZooIndustry

From March 3 to 5, the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre is hosting ZooIndustry 2026, the International Exhibition of Products and Services for Pets.

Veterinary pharmaceuticals: a focus on innovation and affordability

The exhibition’s general partner, the VIK Group of Companies, has reaffirmed its position as a technology leader this year. Behind the figures—35 years in business, more than 250 product lines, exports to 50 countries, and two manufacturing facilities certified according to international GMP standards—lies an extensive scientific foundation. The company’s portfolio includes everything from animal cosmetics to sophisticated veterinary medicines. However, special attention at its booth was given to new products that will soon become available to veterinary professionals.

Cardiology without compromise. The drug Avekardit is intended for treating heart failure in dogs.

“This is not just a medicine—it is an opportunity to give a pet years of active life. Avekardit increases the strength of cardiac contractions and improves the heart’s pumping function. It is particularly valuable because it can be used already at the asymptomatic stage of mitral valve endocardiosis, when the owner has not yet noticed any problems but the heart already needs support,” a company representative said.

The meat-flavoured tablets are available in three dosages, making it possible to select a treatment plan for dogs of different weights.

Another new product is Firoko, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug for dogs. Its key feature is selectivity: it acts primarily at the site of inflammation without affecting healthy tissues. Firoko is effective in cases of osteoarthritis and during the postoperative period. It is also safe for long-term use, with treatment courses lasting up to 90 days. For animals suffering from chronic pain, this is a genuine breakthrough.

Two products have also been added to the company’s antibacterial range. Soladoxi is a single-ingredient drug for dogs and cats with a broad spectrum of action. Meanwhile, Clavuxicin, launched in May 2025, has already earned the trust of veterinarians. Clavulanic acid protects amoxicillin from destruction by bacterial enzymes and enhances its effect. The therapeutic concentration remains effective for 12 hours, while the tablets have an appealing meat flavour, making administration easier even for fussy patients.

The company also announced the upcoming release of Dexmed 0.5 and 0.1 for animal premedication. This means veterinarians will soon have even more options for safe surgical procedures.

Cat litter from China: eco-friendliness and a love for cats

One of the exhibition’s most unexpected and eye-catching participants was the Chinese brand Xu Cuihua. The company produces natural cat litter made from corn and tapioca starch. Most importantly, however, there is a touching story behind the brand.

“The company’s founders once took in a stray cat from the street. They wanted to create an ideal, safe product for her. It took a year to develop it and find a formula suitable for cats’ health and safe for people. The result is our cat litter with a completely natural composition and fast clumping properties,” company representatives explained.

The brand is only beginning its journey in Russia, but it has already accumulated an impressive collection of awards in China. It has ranked first in the premium cat litter category on Tmall, JD, and Douyin.

The litter’s fine granules resemble the texture of desert sand, ensuring cats’ comfort, while its rapid clumping—within just 15 seconds—makes cleaning easier. The formula includes only food-grade ingredients, with no chemicals or GMOs. At the exhibition, visitors could see not only the basic unscented version, but also green tea-scented varieties and blends with bentonite or tofu litter, designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding pet owners.

Triol: charmingly scary toys and limited-edition collections

Triol presented thousands of product lines. The main highlight of its booth was the expansion of the cult Triol Horror collection. “The Bandit Beaver and the Bandit Piglet have already gone hunting,” company representatives said. Each toy combines soft plush with highly durable thermoplastic rubber. All details are embroidered, and there is a squeaker inside.

The successful collaboration with Soyuzmultfilm continues, featuring harnesses and balls with Kesha the Parrot, ceramic bowls titled Matroskin and the Little Jackdaw, and the Friendly Ghost toy. For active walks, there are Urban retractable leashes with a one-year mechanism warranty; for travelling, there is the Tent pet house. Small pets have not been forgotten either: Little Village bedding made from birch wood, as well as Cactus and Lemon ceramic houses for rodents. And for gourmet pets, there are Local Food treats—Atlantic cod skin with kelp—and the Fun Food range, including mint-flavoured chewing treats, toffees, and sherbets.

In addition, Triol actively takes part in industry events. Recently, the brand served as a premium partner of the ZooPalitra—Winter 2026 exhibition in Moscow, which attracted more than 8,300 visitors and 374 rodents.
